life after ORD

it has been 2 days after i ORD but i already started work in starhub.. for a admin job dealing with the billing stuff.. i must say this job is one of the best i've worked so far.. its a not-so-stringent environment to work in.. which allows us to wear casual to work.. i kind of like this kind of work as of now.. something which can allow me to adapt to the working life outside the army.. haha..

too bad my upper study and her frens are leaving.. now alot of stuff that i learnt is onli like 2 days old!!! so young and noob!!! but i hope it would be a good work! =)

today my dear took a great leap of faith to do something good for her future.. i sincerely feel happy and relieved for her, for she can now spend more time on other things and stay happier in life.. i hope she will be happy, and in turn i will be happy =)     P.S: i will always be there for u

yes ah... iphone 4 acquired!

i finally got an iphone 4!!!! from m1, and not singtel... cos apparently their queue to get the phone from there is freaking long.... so decided to change to m1 and den in time to come if my gf change to m1 again den can use the free m1 number to call.... lol.......

i must say that the new iphone 4 is pretty impressive... it has alot of cool stuff in it... i find that its realli faster than my ipod touch 2G which was purchased 2 years ago... angry birds don lag anymore... which is one good thing abt the new iphone... reception issue i don tink will have.. cos so far nth bad happen....

and today i jus bought a set of protectors for the front and the back to protect the body.. i hope i can use this device for long... cos its realli the up to date device at the moment in the iphone series...

in 2 days time, im gonna ORD! feeling happy more than sad... cos my life of freedom will be ahead of me, and not book-in timings which constricts my sunday events and stuff... phew... 2 years jus passed in a blink of an eye... i believed i have grown alot over the 2 years via army... it has taught alot on the soft skills part, in which i believed i had matured from.. i wish my recruits and fellow colleagues all the best and may the day be nearer by each passing day (which in fact will be happening, haha)...

at kuishin bo

yesterday went for a great japanese buffet wif my gf and her mum at kuishin bo.. first time going there.. ambience abit dark.. don like... but the food is superb! all the food very nice.. don feel like got any bad de food there... i like all the seafood... very fresh.. the prawns and crab.. not like those other restaurants de the seafood can tell straight away is not fresh de.. .very bad... but this one can tell its realli fresh.. quite alot of other cooked food also... nice..

however due to my small stomach i cant eat alot =( den after eating the buffet i felt like puking =X den my gf mum let me use her "fung you"

the magical oil from her mum helped me to curb wif my nauseous feeling... great oil... i would recommend those ppl who wanna vomit or too full to smell this thing to curb wif the feeling... its effective and efficient in its process.. =D

someone cooked korean food for lunch today.. taste not so bad wor.. better than expected.. haha.. next time i wanna try more korean cooked food from u yeah? =)

a friday off at Ju Shin Jung

a bunch of army ppl were given an off on a friday.. me, together wif my frens researched and decided to eat at Ju Shin Jung for our outing lunch.. we thought that it would be good to eat buffet since its a weekday.. and we can also go roller-blade or cycle at east coast park to have some fun.. to our surprise it became a bad day and the rain continued on and on for the entire day! we couldn't do any outdoor activities lo.. in the morning part, we reached at 9 plus and it was raining super heavy.. so we went to parkway to walk around.. until about 11.30 den we went to eat the buffet..

 

this is the place where we were seated at.. big and spacious, but not so modernised as to wat i expected it to be.. if u notice carefully, u can see the exposed gas pipes running along the table sides.. i find it very dangerous cos if someone were to accidentally kick it and break the pipe, who knows wat might happen next.. true? and also the staff there don seem to be reacting fast to our requests.. they seem to try to "siam" our request when we raised up our hands.. lol..

 

this was given to each of us.. the top left is onions for us to add in when we roll the small pieces of meat in vegetable.. the top right contains a bowl of soup which tastes rather weird.. tink its some seaweed soup... but its cold and sweet.. weird taste... bottom left is a seasoning dish which contains "ma you" and salt.. giving the meat that we cooked some taste.. the bottom rit is also a seasoning but i dunno wat is it.. nonetheless its still nice to dip the meat in and putting into the mouth.. haha..

ingredients such as the vegetables, red, green chili to go along wif the meat when we wrap those things together and side dishes such as cold tofu, kimchi, kimchi flavoured cucumbers, salted vegetable etc..

 

these r the main! pork and chicken in big pieces! onli the top plate, the pork meat, is not marinated as wat u can see here.. they are not cut into small pieces like seoul garden's.. initially we tot that we need to cut them ourselves.. but.......

tis is the other dish i ordered as my other main.. each one of us were onli able to choose 1 out of 5 dishes as the other main.. and i chose this Hot Stone Chicken Rice.. i was again surprised by the fact that the waitresses there help to mixed the stone rice sauce into the rice for us.. it was delicious! but not advisable if we were to eat alone cos the rice is a person's normal meal portion! and i believe no one would finish eating it because the bulk of the stomach would have been occupied by the bbq meat earlier on..

 

HEART-SHAPED WATERMELONS! that was part of the dessert that we had.. the other part was some weird cinnamon cold tea which all of us felt was weird.. lol..

boring saturday

today is a stay home day and i am so freaking boring... =(

day 49 is here.

i am able to clear leave/off for a week in a short time.. alright man! can spend my time at home and also go and apply for my further education! =) i wanna start studying soon!! i cannot continue my current life now.. omg.. too much of regimental already? but no choice.. i wanna enjoy my civilian life!

8 more, 8 more book outs!!! im already thinking of wat to get after my ORD.. cant help tinking abt the phone that i wanna get and the running shoes i plan to buy.. i also wish that i can go for a holiday wif my love one, if time allows.. i wonder if it will happen or not =)

Toy Story 3

today went to watch this movie finally! i was realli wow-ed by the movie.. and i liked it alot... enjoyed it from start to end... the most touching part was the time when the character Andy gave those toys to the little girl.. its so sad to see him giving all the toys and telling her one by one how he had spent the time wif those toys.. tink there's not gonna be another toy story 4 i supposed since the Andy has already grown up... and there's no way those toys r going back to him since he gave them away already..

nevertheless, i hope there will be more movies like this kind.. unlike spiderman 1, 2 & 3.. 1st one was alright and fresh whereas the 2nd and 3rd were so boring lo... we already can predict wat's gonna happen in the end... zzz...

the road to ORD

the road to ORD seems closer to an end.. and i realise that a 2 years of army life is nothing at all.. after all the fucking and kena-fucking part, plus the tons of outfield exercises and physical training, it helped me to be who i am today.. i am grateful for all the mentoring and things i have learnt along the way, especially from my company's old birds.. i will miss my army life definitely after i ORD..

new iphone 4 jus released! looks stylish and cool.. now my new target phone would be this latest release from apple.. i simply jus like the design... haha...

i wan to get this new phone - HTC Desire!

Its finally available in local telco stores.. but i can't buy it now!!! omg!!! its too good a deal to buy it from singtel now! onli $300 plus, $100 lesser than that of original selling price at $400 plus.. keep on watching videos about this phone and reading its reviews.. how i wish i can buy this phone now and use it.. its so different from the army phones and the sony ericsson w800i which i possess now... haiz.. the last time i bought a good phone was my that w800i which lasted for about 5 years since i bought it in poly 2nd year.. still rmb when it first came out how cool it is to use the first walkman phone... lol.. that was the past.. THIS PHONE is the PRESENT now!! according to a video in youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Buh_dkzpYc), this phone has an even better web browsing experience than that of the iphone.. another reason y i wan this phone is also because i already have an ipod touch 2G, if i were to buy iphone wouldn't that be a double ipod/iphone? hmmm so i have decided to want this phone before i ORD (to enjoy NSF benefits)! haha!!

updates on life

recently past my 22nd birthday and my dear's bday.. getting old... one year older tis year.. next year yet again -.-" sad.. but i wanna have a new experience in life, which is to get married.. and have my own family.. i wan to have a life wif my loved one.. enjoying every single moment of my life wif her... =D

hmm in a few months time, i am gonna ORD.. right now, im onli left wif abt onli 16 book outs to go before my last one... looking forward to it!! =))

all around i see, i notice alot of ppl, i mean yes literally alot of ppl or rather majority of ppl is holding onto an iPhone in their hand playing games such as Angry Birds.. wth.. make me tempted to wan to buy iPhone 4G.. dots... i so confused whether to wait for the iPhone 4G or buy HTC's HD Mini.. partly also cos i still have my iPod Touch lo... any suggestions?

I am looking at the specs of this HTC HD Mini, i like its nice and executive kind of design.. and its a mini version of the HTC HD, which has a very good resolution.. on top of that, if i am not wrong, i believe the Android OS is better than the OS of the iPhone, currently? i like this is because its within my budget and its reviews are relatively good..

this month's expenditure is way above and beyond... need to save up more... in coming months.... i wonder wat i would be working as after ORD... haha.... already tinking abt it... haha.....

a few wishes i would like to add

after going through a day of walking around today wif my army frens, i started feeling to want to buy running shoes.. under the saucony brand.. like quite nice and cheap enough for my level of budget.. lol.. under 100 dollars kind..

den tried the speakers from the altec lansing and one other brand i forgot which both cost about 450 close to 500 dollars each.. feel like getting one for the sound but its like no use for me.. feel abit wasted.. lol..

and i've been thinking for time that should i get the new iphone or jus a simple phone since i still have my ipod touch.. its also abit lots of money if im gonna invest in the iphone... dunno wat to choose? need to plan for which phone to buy soon... i need an ORD phone... wahha!!!

ever since the day we're back together, there is nv a day i feel sad or lonely anymore.. u mean the world to me now =) thank you dear..

yesterday went to timbre for a meet up wif some frens and my gf.. my gf said the pizza is very good but i don tink so... i don like the thin crust.. the onli good thing was the ingredients on top of the pizza... haha... roasted duck... cool isn't it? like first time trying duck on pizza.. den had a few shots... tasted great!! i quite like it... next time would definitely go there for a drink or eat... yeah!!

2 more weeks to off/leave

current batch of recruits r going to POP soon.. which means our lull period is coming!!! haha.. when lull comes, i would like to (1) play badminton, (2) swim until i perfect my style, (3) watch new anime, (4) catch up wif my frens, (5) go to universal studios, (6) perfect my body shape to my ideal goal.

hopefully i can do all those in time to come.. haha..

looking forward to seeing the new iphone launch

rumors here and there... but i wan the real news man... cos im gonna buy it (provided if the price is rit? lol)..

hopefully some of the things that are more significant that i wish the new iphone would have are:
1. better camera
2. slimmer look, and not so fat like the current models
3. even faster loading system
4. longer and even longer battery life
5. the ability to be jail-broken (LOL)

these are some things which i hope to see in the new iPhone.. jus wish that it comes out soon... can't wait.... wahaha!

nth to do... so decided to write tis "sibei sian" blog entry.. dunno wat to do wif my com.. like got things to do, but den also like gt nth to do... have u felt the same way before? lol.. i guess everyone reaches that stage sometimes... if onli my ipod is jailbroken, i would have been busy to downloading applications now.. if onli Apple would release when next gen of iPhone is coming out, i would have been doing my research.. lol...

its quite fast that the field camp for this batch of recruits have already finished.. just like in their 3rd/4th week? but its good.. cos after that it would be more focused on passing their IPPT/SOC.. haha.. one more pay to come and they're going to POP =DD nice man.. den gonna take my last batch of recruits after this.. woohoo!!!

weekends like got nth to do one sia... if anyone wanna ask me out pls do... cos im jus too free.. and there's no one wif me...

new year summary

finaly CNY spent in green uniform.. good news isn't it?? haha.. next year i can enjoy my CNY as a civilian.. yes! tis year was a different from the previous few years cos quite little places to visit.. but like somehow played alot of card games.. learnt a new game from kt and goo yesterday at mr tan's place.. fun but can like lose alot.. almost lost 20 plus dollars jus on that.. but managed to recoup back till jus less than 10 dollars of losings... haha.. hopefully can play again soon...

and my stitch is gone! hopefully it heals soon.. and don cut myself wif the SOG again...

awww man... wat a CUT!

 

i tried using my recruit's SOG to cut the cable tie to open the lock thing... den i ended up slicing my finger and incurring a 2-stitch wound... first time use until got blood sia... and it was flowing rapidly.. dripping as i walk.. so scary.. i finally realise wat ppl meant by "always observe SOG safety while using it"..

and yesterday i went to see MO, thinking that he might help me undo the stitch to enjoy my CNY.. he said it was too short a period (4 days) to take out the stitch.. i cant help but tinking OMG! cos i'd always have the problem of the thread being to long and sometimes when i wear top i would somehow like touch it and then in turn pull my skin.. not realli pain but i jus scared the entire thing pop out.. den my wound open again.. ???!!!! one more thing that i felt was a bit of numbness of the finger's middle part.. its like when u keep ur legs crossed and the numb feeling that u will get after that.. i asked the MO if it could be related to my nerve on my finger and he had a bit of question on that.. he said he might refer me to see specialist if there's any problem wif the numbness if i still feels it next week when i see him to remove the stitch.. hopefully wont have anything that would affect my finger.. i still love u my finger.. haha..

learning lesson: use SOG with care, don take it lightly.. it will make ur blood drip..

i hope i wont touch that scary tool again..

new batch coming in...

heard from my head that i may be leading the female recruits in the coming batch at 6th Feb.. dunno is it good or bad.. but jus hope i don get attached out of company can liao.. ltr lost the company feeling..

with the new batch of recruits, it means that my lull period is over!! =( and i cant play sports OTOT already.. omg.. hopefully i still can find time to play wif my colleagues.. if not camp life not fun anymore.. =((

and i successfully applied for my business course in SIM/UOL already!! hopefully i can successfully enroll into the sch.. and i also hope that i can concentrate more than before and get a good certificate..

alot of sources around me say that uni is a scary place for army guys, those of whom gf is studying in.. cos very often the gf would turn to another man.. now i simply noe its true, that indeed its a scary and dangerous place.. fuck all those beliefs i had before cos its jus bullshit..

dunno wat to write for the title.. jus wanna blog.. haha.. recently i played alot of badminton in camp.. almost half of the 5 days in camp i also got go play awhile.. lol.. keep going to the pt branch to borrow key to open the mph's store to take out the badminton net stand.. troublesome but worth it.. cos got ppl play.. den no wind very nice to play.. jus the feeling i had in primary sch days.. lol..

girls recruits in camp i did nth much.. heng.. lucky i not the working platoon.. den almost everyday like lull like that.. good.. and i cleared my second year of IPPT wif a silver... $100 cfm can get.. yeah!! now i can proudly say i am fat but i am fit too.. watever u wanna say me i don care.. WAHAHA!!!

first working week of the year...

finally started to work after a few weeks of break including a holiday... went for the h1n1 jab and den also for the learnet training.. a course for commanders to learn how to control recruits in the net.. haha.. and also the female service recruits are now enlisted for 2 weeks.. quite boring.. cos they all onli having introduction lessons.. might as well have something for them to learn online den can skip bmt service liao??? haha...

tinking of bringing badminton into camp to play.. dunno can play in camp anot.. lol.. hopefully can den next time i can play wif my colleagues..

starting to work, AGAIN

working days are coming... will be getting busy soon... but i heard now no more 24km, instead changed to at most 16km!! wah shiok sia.. i no more 24km liao... yes la.. im gonna be a happy man!! haha.. and we will be getting a laptop each.. got internet some more.. good good good!! best SAF of my time.. lol..

now im also tinking of going to apply for my uni education.. gonna try for local.. 10 dollars onli anyway.. i tot like 50 plus or 60 plus.. i noe my grades not that good but jus try lo.. if realli got not enough students and they willing to enrol me in, i would be more than happy to accept it.. haha.. if not local i tink i would be considering UOL in SIM liaos.. guess i need to buck up more to get a good graduating degree.. hopefully my dream will come true this year..

Phuket Trip (040110 - 070110)

hello here i am posting my experience in my phuket trip..

[DAY 1]

basically we are near the area of Patong Beach, one of the most popular beaches around phuket.. and stayed in this Best Western Sawaddi Patong Hotel which i can say is realli one of the best u can find there.. the ppl working there are all english-speaking and are quite proficient in that, definitely better than those other hotels that we can find along the streets of patong.. haha.. and wat makes me feel very comfortable is that the facilities and the rooms were exceptionally in good condition too..

 

 

 

very clean eh?? lol.. once u lie on the bed, i can bet u don wanna get up already.. confirm very shiok.. haha..

and den we went to this muslim/indian restaurant in royal paradise hotel to have our lunch.. not realli a nice place to go for muslim food cos its very expensive and the ambience sucks to the core.. the place is so dark that its brightness is just simply based on the sunlight from outside the restaurant.. the most unworthy thing i spent on throughout the trip... i emphasis again -- THE MOST UNWORTHY!!

in the nit, we were only just looking around the patong area and decided to have our dinner at a quite enthusiastic restaurant selling cheap seafood..

the bangla road.. busy and sleazy street it is, its still filled wif lots of tourists and locals seeking to have a good time at nit.. be it party or pure drinking onli, its a lively place to have fun.. one of the funny thing i found out about the place was the tiger shows.. got many other varieties of shows available there too.. can guess wat are those? its ping pong show, egg show, banana show and all sorts of weird weird show names.. according to my frens, they said its smth like the thai girls use their lower private part to shoot out ping pong balls or crack an egg or watever.. almost wanted to go but my frens not so friendly so never go in the end.. wasted..

[DAY 2]

we dedicated this entire day for the patong beach lol.. sounds funny but realli we spent the whole day at the beach..

 

the beach looks so much better and lively than our singapore beach.. but alot of the ppl visiting the beach are caucasians.. its realli a whole lot of them walking around that place.. and their dress code is simply topless for guys and bikini for the girls.. abit shocked by the culture there but i still find it alright though.. haha.. for the waters, it seems that we can realli go quite far and its still very shallow.. its quite a nice feeling though.. playing around wif frens in the waters and i learnt quite a bit for swimming.. lol.. hopefully next time when i go try swimming again i can get the technique rit.. haha..

there's also thai ppl walking around to ask whether we wanna go to another island to try snorkeling.. we tried to bargain wif the guy until its about 400 baht per person den we set off for the so-called Freedom Island for the snorkeling experience.. lol.. one thing funny about our grp is we always use the alot-of-people advantage to get cheaper prices.. haha.. but its fun.. anyway here are some photos we took while on the small boat to the freedom island..

and so we went to the Freedom Island to snorkel as well as having our lunch at the only restaurant available.. the onli part of the island that we have been too is the beach and the restaurant onli actually.. cos its jus a small place simply for the snorkel purpose.. but eventually we bought a volleyball to play volleyball and beach soccer also.. haha.. quite a fun thing to do there when u have nth else to do.. lol.. and den we finally left that place at abt 3 or 4 plus..

(JET SKI) after that i went back to that patong beach and tried playing wif jet ski.. woah.. the speed was far more powerful than i tot initially.. u can literally feel like ur body is pulled back from the dash of the jet ski.. lol.. we went quite far away from the shore to route around a star virgo cruise ship which was stationed there.. its nice to play wif the jet ski.. 

at nit we had our dinner at the royal paradise hotel dinner buffet.. 250 baht for a buffet.. worth ba? abt 10 dollars sing like that.. not a bad dinner.. had alot of food and desserts..

towards the midnight we went to party at a quite modern looking club, Sound Music Club, which was situated at the back of the Jungceylon shopping centre.. the music there that night was hip-hop/r&b.. very suitable for me cos i like that kind of music.. hehe..

the funny thing abt that night was that we went to the hollywood club den there's this thai girl who wanted to grind sadik but he did not grind her.. and it seems that she was quite pissed and somehow like complained to her manager.. lol.. i don realli understand but i can see it from her hand signs.. we felt like very not our kind den we went back to sound music club after that den back to hotel to sleep..

[DAY 3]

the ATV and elephant trekking day!! its one of the thing i was looking forward in this phuket trip as well other than the jet ski.. we took a short trip to a more jungle place for the ATV and elephant trekking tour..

ATV is a MUST-TRY thing in thailand man.. the most fun thing on ATV tour is crossing different terrain, including like up-slope and down-slope and uneven terrain.. lol.. unofficial excitement comes from speeding on smooth track/road.. haha =X

after the ATV tour, we went for the elephant trekking.. initially still quite afraid of the elephant.. didnt dare to step on the elephant skin.. though its very thick and rough.. the one which me and sadik rode on was quite a lazy bum.. cos it kept on stopping along the track to sniff the leaves around and den wan, don wan, wan, don wan to eat the leaves.. lol..

the skin of the elephant is realli very very thick.. den the hair also very solid kind.. lol.. the elephant driver keep saying can step on the elephant but i don dare.. or rather i scared to hurt the elephant.. halfway through the trekking, sadik went to sit on the elephant skin itself.. haha.. i tink he'd feel that the elephant very thick-skinned too?? lol.. anyway when we dismount the elephant and bought pineapples for the elephant to eat, the elephant is like crying lo.. if u'd refer to the first photo where i was feeding the elephant, u can see clearly that there's a white stretch of dunno wat flowing from the elephant eyes.. it seems that it realli cried.. felt like so sad for the elephant.. so poor thing..

for our dinner on the 3rd day, we had the thailand's kfc.. i ordered this meal which consists of 2 pieces of chicken and 3 little drumlets in hot and spicy flavour.. super hot man.. luckily the drink was enough to cover for it.. cos its like bigger than the big gulp in singapore.. drink until wanna vomit.. haha.. after all i still tink singapore's chicken still the best.. haha..

[DAY 4]

did nth much on the last day cos it was raining very heavily from the morning.. and literally we were simply jus staying inside the hotel room the whole morning.. lol.. quite shiok too.. haha.. wif the cooling weather.. after checking out at 12pm, we took a minibus from the hotel to the jungceylon shopping centre to have our lunch.. which was at the food court which sells very very cheap food.. den in the afternoon we played winning eleven on the TV available near the arcade area.. out of nowhere a guy from dunno wat country challenged us to a game.. it was so embarrassed by a mere ang moh.. lol... i guess we're jus still considered noob.. haha..
